I am sure this is not an original idea, but I did not get this from anyone else;-) My little boy has several little Chuck trucks (Tonka brand) that are soft plastic and lots of fun to play with. I wanted him to have a mat that he could 'race' the cars on, and though I looked at several online, nothing seemed right. Then inspiration/desperation struck, and I decided to make him his own car mat. The fun part? The roads trace the center of our town--his racing mat is a map of where we live! Below is a picture of the mat still in process, with just the roads in place. More to come later!

New home decoration project!
I love this. New project? I hope so...
...I married the man of my dreams, the love of my life, the shepherd of my family, the [one who would be] father of my children, my best friend and lover. I praise the Lord for leading us to each other and for blessing our marriage and life together. May God get all the glory for the great things He has done!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
To my wonderful readers I sincerely apologize for the lack of posting. I pray that each of you had a wonderful Christmas season celebrating the birth of a baby who would die to save the world from their sins. It is because of this Jesus we can celebrate Christmas, and enjoy a truly Happy New Year! Blessings to you all, and I look forward to sharing more with you in this wonderful new year.
How I pay my babysitter :-)
With a one-of-a-kind skirt! Thanks so much to Becca for swapping babysitting for a skirt, and for patiently waiting several months for it to be finished! The skirt is a simple wrap style from Sew What Skirts. If you remember, I made myself a skirt in the same style, but I don't know if I ever took a picture of the finished project! Here is Becca's skirt, in the wonderful Pistachio Paisley fabric from Michael Miller. It looks much better on her than in the picture!
